Why are ya’ll so pressed about this mother allowing her daughter to wear lashes???? I started wearing makeup when I was in 6th grade and everyone questioned my poor mother’s parenting, but you know what she told them? You gotta pick your battles. I was a straight A, high honor roll student, played sports, never got into trouble in school, did my chores at home and listened to my parents. So if I wanted to wear some eyeliner and mascara my mama was gonna damn well allow me to express myself!

A’s Drama Lashes :
I started doing highlights & nails in 4th grade and middle school was lashes and contact lenses. Everyone questioned my moms parenting and guess who’s daughters were sneaking out and pot heads at 12 not my moms. I was stuck watching the bratz movies and clueless with cute little sleepovers at my house. Makeup doesn’t make you a “trouble kid”

This is lovely. But I will say please keep an eye out for her. I was also once a 6th grader I would love doing my eyelashes and dressing up. But I was targeted a lot by 8th graders. I know you will probably say oh it’s no big deal. I had friends being intimate because they felt grown and not like the rest of 6th grade. Don’t rush her to grow up.

Hermosa! At that age we all wanted to have our hair beautifully done, to feel pretty and girly. This mama is building up her baby girl’s self esteem. Like it’s okay to wanna feel pretty, why do some people deny that to their kids? My mom never did me like this and I had the lowest self esteem that followed me throughout adulthood. Maybe if my mom boosted me up and let me do things here and there that made me feel pretty, maybe I wouldn’t have been bullied so hard. I’d rather people judge ME as the mom than pick on my baby and make her feel bad about herself. If baby girl feels good, she is more than likely going have an easier time letting mean comments roll off her back.

people hate on little kids being little kids, i was in middle school 2014-2016 and i had friends with a full beat on while being kids. as girls growing up were taught to love makeup and getting dolled up. i feel like parents who are so strict about it don’t realize how bad your kid wants to grow up to move out. just let them be DAMN
