Craig was convinced the cool climate at Thompson Vineyard could produce a classic style with a perfect balance of minerality, acidity, and aromatics. The gamble paid off — Thompson Vineyard’s Grenache Blanc turned out to be exquisite. T A S T I N G N O T E From a very chilly year — the coldest since the late 1970s — comes this fresh, mineral expression of Grenache Blanc. Picked mid-October when it was just ripe, this is our most texturally expressive rendition of this variety yet. Barrel-fermented and aged in neutral wood, and allowed to complete malolactic fermentation, this unfiltered Grenache Blanc marries breadth to taut acidity.
