My grandpas comfort meal is KFC that was the first American meal he bought himself. Every birthday since then we got KFC he would take such pride in getting the coupon for the family meal and being able to pay only $20 for it, he’s going to hospice soon but I can’t wait to have our last kfc meal together

My mom’s first thing she had in the US was those gas station cappuccinos that you press the button to dispense. She said it was the most delicious drink she had ever had 😭❤️now she’s an almond mom LOLOL

When we picked my dad up in Las Vegas after he spent 4 months in an ICE detention center last year, the first thing he wanted was Burger King. He was so skinny coming out of there. 🥺🥺

My dad's first meal in the States was a plain hot dog. He was starving, but “hot dog” was the only thing he could read in English, so that’s what he ordered. He remembers the worker asking if he wanted any toppings, but he said no because he didn’t understand.

When we immigrated here Burger King was always our go to . I would help them order our food and the four of us were the happiest eating our food together ❤️

I remember when I was younger we use to live in a trailer park and my mom didn’t know how to drive. So we would walk over to BK since it was the closest thing around us. Would always get my chicken sandwich 🥹

my parents also got us Burger King, around 2000 they had a special four whopper combos for 20 dollars and we bought 1 more for my dad it was 5 of us. everytime I get burger king I think about it all the time. we were poor but boy did we enjoy those whoppers

My mommy came to the US pregnant with me. And all she ate was Burger King. So I joke with her and tell her that the reason why I love Burger King so much is bc that’s all she fed me when I was in her stomach. My parents say that American burgers were so delicious they had never tried anything like it.
