As someone from South Florida, there has been several occasions where people I have known have gone to these places and they put relaxer in their shampoo. That’s the reason why they say that down here.

You’re gorgeous and so is your hair but we gotta stop doing this. All hair is different and takes heat differently. It’s not a myth for you, doesn’t mean it doesn’t happen to others. It’s all about how healthy your hair is and how it takes heat.
