We talk about time like it's ours to spend — "I'll get to it later," "there's still time." But the more time we have, the more carelessly we treat it. A person with one hour moves with urgency. A person with a whole free day wastes half of it deciding what to do with the rest. And it never announces when it's running out. Opportunities don't come with a countdown. They show up quietly, sit there for a while, and leave the same way — quietly. No warning shot. No "last chance" notification. One day you look back and realize it already came and went, and you were either too busy wasting it or too comfortable postponing it to a "future" that was never actually guaranteed to arrive. That's the lie procrastination sells you — the idea that later is promised. It isn't. Tomorrow is a plan, not a fact. And every day handed over to "I'll start next week" is a day you don't get refunded. Steve Jobs said it straight: "Your time is limited, so don't waste it living someone else's life." Not someone else's — not even your own delayed version of it, always pushed one more day down the line. So stop treating time like it owes you more of itself. It doesn't.
