Probably because your cervix hast to dilate a little to release blood from the uterus. The first times probably won’t be that noticeable or you’ll feel something and just brush it off. Also just a note severely painful cramping should not be normal, if so go tell your doctor or a professional.

I fucking wish😭 i cramp constantly like i go maybe a week every 3-4 months without cramping even with no period. Then the blood comes randomly🥲 maybe 3 times a month maybe none for 3 months😂 i also have pcos 😭

I’m the exact opposite. One time I was going to a bunch of estate/garage sales with my mom and her bf (keep in mind this was before I started birth control and got MAYBE 4 periods a year. I couldn’t track them) My stomach hurt super bad so I asked my mom to stop at a gas station bc I thought I had to use the bathroom. Pulled down my jeans and saw the crotch soaked with blood and the cramps ended after that 💔
