I was 8, and in the middle of the night I had an anxiety attack, I went to my mom and asked her: mom, what are we? Why can I not see myself? How can I see others? What is all of this? And she laughed. That was the beginning of my existential anxiety and compulsive thinking. 🥴 still in the journey at 26

The stairs one kinda broke my heart for the child that you were💔🥺...now that I'm an adult and that I know what level of hidden anxiety lies behind ocd, this is such an awful lot of pressure to carry at such a young age😔

I recently got diagnosed w OCD as an adult too like 2 years ago and the concept of forever thing was also what initially led me to go see a therapist bc it was something I’d freak out about from a young age and it is crazy that others have had that same experience! I also didn’t know it was ocd til I got older
