we made an offer of $615,000 on a house listed at $645,000. Our real estate agent said it was too low. we settled with $629,000. A day before signing, we decided to pull out. The house is now listed at $609,000.

my realtor rocks. A house my wife and I wanted, it was more than the loan amount, and long story short, he was hella encouraging to send a low ball offer and them covering closing costs. unfortunately in the same day, they accepted an offer for 30k above asking. so there went that, but yeah, my realtor is a beast.

Had an agent tell me I was dumb because my buyers offered 1M on a 1.3 house that needed work and had been sitting nearly a year. Then goes on to say this is the 4th 1M offer she got. Ma’am if everyone is offering 1M the home is worth 1M 😭😭

My friend offered 800k on a house that had been sitting for 3 months and was priced at 849k. The sellers rejected the offer with no counter. They said they were firm on the price. That was 4 months ago! They just lowered it to 799k this week. A 50k price reduction while they sat on it and paid their mortgage. They could have had it sold months ago. Now she’s thinking of placing another offer but for even less since rates have gone up since then. 🤷🏽♀️

I just closed on my house and 1000% went through this. Sellers and realtors need to understand we don’t need y’all. You need us. We are looking at buying the house next-door and I’m gonna offer him $60,000 less than he’s asking and I think he’s gonna take it.

Found a townhouse on Zillow, 735,000$. Looks brand new, listing says immaculately maintained. We find out 5 mins before our appt to see it that’s it’s been digitally staged. Walked in and immediately gets hit with cat pee smell. They have 4 cats. And it’s a hoarder situation. They’re literally piling their garbage in the garage instead of paying for a garbage service. We offered them ask and asked them to repair the floor. Agent tells our agent we have been the ONLY offer. Seller comes back with 750,000$ and will only repair carpet on stairs. Sellers agent says this is a good deal. Da fuq? Why am I paying for repairs that you’re ignoring? That house is now 679,000$, been on the market for almost 6 months and still zero offers.

Funniest thing is when you offer at their asking and they come back saying they actually want more than their asking price. They expect people to get into a bidding war over their house that isn’t worth what they want it to be

Sellers are greedy too. “They won’t accept a lower offer because they’ve been there 25 years.” Okay, but they bought it for 1/8 of the price! What’s a few thousand off when they’re still making a huge profit? And I highly doubt they invested $20K EACH YEAR in updates either.

Tried to buy a $500k house all I asked for was $10k in help to fix the fence. It’s an acre property and I have 3 dogs and moving 12 hours to the house. They added the help but raised the sell price to $510k. I laughed and told them I’ll enjoy seeing their house on the market for the next year. The house is still listed 7 months later and they reduced the price $25k. I’ll wait for it to foreclose or be auctioned off from the estate🤷🏻
