@sunnymayhem_: Alex Ovechkin passed Wayne Gretzky and kept playing. Now he has chosen where the NHL part ends. One reason is much smaller than the record: he wants to stay healthy enough to play hockey, soccer and basketball with his sons as they grow up. He and his family decided during the summer that 2026-27 would be his final NHL season. When he told Washington's locker room, he still turned the conversation back toward the playoffs. The game still matters. So do the games after it. That became THE GAMES AFTER THIS by SUNNYMAYHEM. Full song is available now on Spotify and coming to Apple Music and all streaming platforms.
