@abrahamluzzi1: This is the Akii-Bua Stadium under construction in Lira City. We sincerely thank the Government of Uganda for this visionary initiative. Named after our Olympic legend John Akii-Bua, this modern multi-purpose sports complex will feature a 20,000-seater stadium with an athletics track, training pitches, an indoor arena, a swimming pool, and other world-class facilities. Once completed, it will not only prepare Uganda to host major continental events such as AFCON 2027, but will also create jobs, boost local businesses, inspire young athletes in Northern Uganda, and leave a lasting legacy of sports development for generations to come. We encourage the relevant authorities, media houses, and all stakeholders to actively publicise and celebrate this progress. Let us continue to highlight and share the positive developments and good work the government is delivering for our people. And always give credit where it’s due.
