I’m a ‘tasker’ for Handshake, Micro1 and Ethos and I get paid $115/hr for basic slide deck review

I do this at Mercor for $80/hour, just reviewing slide decks… mind numbingly boring work but I’m grateful regardless.

What I'm hearing is I should make a company, have a bunch of AI bots write code for that company, and then turn around and just sell it to these brokers at a fee and reap the rewards

haha this was major a couple months ago when RLHF was the main method of training models. As RLVR picked up, the transition away from this model really took storm. There were droughts on a lot of these platforms, but it does seem some groups still use RLHF for certain disciplines/practices that are either more sensitive in nature (e.g. finance, legal, etc.) or require specialised lexicology (Turing-style competency). The earliest business model was to pay each task-doer by hours worked and score the task-doer's profile performance, but most groups have now switched to a pay-per-task model with little-no dispute channels available. Very unstable source of income if you're at it atm

So all thee humans continue to feed and train the models and then the models can then start training themselves and then what happens …?

Best breakdown of this I’ve seen to date. Recruited experts for this type of work. Didn’t love the transactional nature and break neck transition from topic to topic tofulfill client needs.

I don't know how legal the work of some of them is. if farming data in the name of recruting people for jobs that hire ASAP is legal, than everything's completely fine. I read the article on Micro1 and I was fazed as my partner is PhD cand. and applied to a job that they posted (before we were aware of their actual business plan). 6 months wait and no answer. Multiple opening with the same job description, charachter for charachter. I don't know the legality of it and the actual accuracy of the data. However, Ai firms are already selling shit with nutella branding so I wouldn't be surprised if they're also buying it that way.
