Fr you gotta do activities. Show up to places and keep showing up until people know you. Take a pottery class, become a regular at your neighborhood bar, be active and intentional about inviting your new acquaintances out, do a sport, volunteer somewhere, etc. Just keep showing up and it’ll happen.

DC is not a friendly city. Try Arlington or Alexandria’s King St. plenty of nice pubs / restaurants many with happy hours. You’re beautiful, you’ll meet people. It’s inevitable!!

Join a hobby or sports group, gym, etc. DC is the fittest city in the world: getting into shape will be good for you and your social life here. There are also so many hobby groups here that don’t revolve around politics, eg trivia, board games and gaming, etc. There’s also a big EDM/rave scene here.
