Some of the arguments people are making about why Wales shouldn’t be independent genuinely make no sense. 🤦♂️People are entitled to their opinions, but at least understand what you’re talking about before acting like you’ve got it all figured out. If you’re against Welsh independence, fine — explain WHY with actual facts and logical arguments instead of repeating nonsense. Disagreeing is one thing; making claims you can’t even back up is another. 🤷♂️

Welsh is a derogatory English word meaning Slave.It is not the same word as the Angles Saxons word Wealas/Wealaz, which mean( not one of us ) , ( foreign to them ),( not the same people ),the entire isle before Roman occupation, was Combrogi lands. Meaning fellow Countryman or Compatriots. The Romans called them Britons, which is not the same as British or Britain’s. The word ( Welsh )is a derogatory English word meaning SLAVE, later becoming,to mean SERF. Both the Scotti & English invaded & colonised after the collapse of the Roman Empire, in the 5/6th centuries. Why Scotland & England have land in their titles as they are colonised lands( claimed lands ).both the Scottish & English forming the United Kingdom in 1706/7 between themselves,the Cymry & Cymru were Annexed,by the English, never willingly joined the union. England & English taking their names from the Larger group of invading Germanic colonists the Angles, hence Angleland ( England ). Britons , Celtic, Celts,Picts,Wealas/Wealaz, Welsh, and many others words, are what invading colonists called the native indigenous peoples of this isle , not what they call themselves. They called themselves Combrogi, meaning fellow Countryman or Compatriots, where the words Cymry ( the people ) , & ( Cymru,the Land ) of the compatriots derive from. Most people just don’t know because of Anglicisation, some are just ignorant. But the Cymry are and will always be the native indigenous people of this isle.Cymru rydd.
