@estesparkresort: 🦌🔊 TURN YOUR SOUND UP… THIS is the sound of the elk rut. . If you’ve never heard a bull elk bugle in person, it’s NOTHING like you expect. . It starts low, climbs into this eerie high-pitched whistle, and ends with deep grunts that sound like they couldn’t possibly come from the same animal. 😂 . Seriously… it’s like someone mixed a trumpet, a ghost, and a pissed-off lawnmower into one sound. . But he’s not just making noise. . During the rut, bulls bugle to communicate, announce their presence, and challenge rival bulls. . And when one bull bugles… . Then another answers from across the valley… . THAT is when the mountains come alive. 🏔️🦌 . 🔊 Listen to this guy! . 👇 Have you ever heard a bull elk bugle IN PERSON? . ⚠️ Rutting bulls can be unpredictable. Give elk plenty of space, never get between a bull and his cows, and use your camera zoom for close-up views. . 🏔️ Follow @EstesParkResortGuide for more Estes Park & Rocky Mountain National Park wildlife. . #Elk #ElkRut #EstesPark #RockyMountainNationalPark #ColoradoWildlife #WildlifeTok
