@shawnthefoodsheep: One of Houston’s best new taco spots is hiding in a Spring strip center 🌮🔥 Tacos Santos is a Tijuana-style taqueria opened in 2025 by husband-and-wife David Gonzalez and Valentina Reyes. David previously worked at the famous Tacos El Gordo, the Tijuana-born taqueria that became especially well known in Las Vegas and California, and that style of tacos became a major inspiration for what they’re doing here. The menu is stacked with tacos, vampiros, mulitas, tortas, burritos, quesadillas, quesabirrias, asada fries and more, with proteins like carne asada, adobada, chorizo, chicken and nopales. And when I say these are loaded, they do NOT skimp on the meat. 😂 We tried the crispy asada vampiro, carne asada and adobada tacos, loaded asada fries, and an order of four crispy, cheesy quesabirrias with consommé. My favorites were the tacos and the asada fries. The tacos were packed with meat and topped with fresh guacamole, while the fries were loaded with steak, cheese, guacamole and all the toppings.
