This UNESCO-heritage site features a massive underground exhibition and tourism route nearly 135m deep into the mine, excavated from the 13th century. The tour route is about 3.5km long (only about 2% of the mine’s occupied space! 🤯) and features the stunning St. Kinga Chapel, unique interior designs carved in salt, and brine lakes. Definitely worth the short trip if you’re in neighboring Krakow or in southern Poland! Would highly recommend researching available tour times and purchasing tickets ahead of time. If you have the time, the Graduation Tower is a peaceful and relaxing stroll outdoors near the mines. #wieliczka #krakow #poland #travel #tourism
