@fieldmuseum: An Improvised Musical Conversation 🎶 For Latin American Heritage Month, we welcomed La Esculita Bombera da Corazón for an energetic performance of Bomba. Bomba is one of Puerto Rico's oldest genres of music, with roots dating back to the 17th century. This genre marries multiple cultures together through drum, song, and dance, with the dancer and lead drummer engaging in an improvised musical conversation.
