It’s like watching pro tennis. You may not enjoy tennis but you have to admit the two players are very good at it. Time, dedication and skill went in to becoming so.

Also, foods are made based on price margins. some things are less expensive ingredients and quality, because the market is not up scale. so the ratings needs to be adjusted accordingly.

Kitchen Confidence :
Most food reviewers are just giving opinions based on their preferences. They can’t articulate thoughts beyond “This is so good!” “It was amazing!” Best not to trust the preferences of a stranger.

I get sent reviewers by friends all the time only to tell them I've already blocked that reviewer cause they have no clue what they are describing or use descriptions beyond the scope of their knowledge

as someone who does “review food”, i agree, kinda. Saying the chef is bad for disliking an item is something i would NEVER do. personally, while I don’t judge every item based off their technique used to make it, I always state im just saying how much i personally prefer the item, and always encourage ppl to form their own opinions. I really dislike people who would insult the chef for their own personal preferences

That’s what I hate about so many “renowned” food critics…most have never worked on the industry or even have a clue what it takes to put some of these dishes together

Food reviewers. You mean the people sitting in their cars without doing the hard things first? The people that wouldn't know flavor, layers, complexity or the value of a texture. Oh, got it. Those guys.
The destroyers.

That’s why we need more food reviewers that are cooks/chefs or even people that work in the industry. Food reviewers nowadays have no idea what they’re talking about.

There are too many food review influencers who clearly have no idea what they're talking about.

If you don’t have food or cooking knowledge you can still review food, but you’re critiques are just not backed by anything.

Food influencers just need personality, not competencey, to review food. We gotta stop allowing unqualified people to review food 😪
