I saw so many comments from people saying they didn't watch the movie because 'the trailer didn't tell me what the film was about' and it's so depressing. As you said the trailer is good because it doesn't give too much away like most trailers do now (I actively avoid trailers so the film doesn't get spoiled because of this), but it seems the literacy crisis has gotten so bad that people want an entire film's plot spoonfed to them before they consider watching it. (I haven't deen Digger yet but I do plan to)

It’s really interesting to me that everyone who has seen it my age (16-18) really really liked it, but all the older people I know who have watched it didn’t like it. I felt it was so comforting to see an acknowledgment for the issues we are currently facing so outwardly, especially as they are becoming more pressing every year but the older generations are still in such denial about what’s happening and have pushed it aside as pretentious.
