@texanscommenter: DeMeco Ryans when asked about defensive communication struggles voluntarily tells the media he’s taking back over calling the plays on defense: “If there’s a lack in communication, I look at myself first & making sure I’m a better communicator. To help spark things more I’m gunna take over the play calling for the defense & I’m gunna make sure that communication is right. It’s on me to get it fixed. No slight giant Coach Burke, just want to make sure I can streamline communication in the best way possible.” It’s ironic DeMeco needed to delegate more so he could help the offense, and now when there’s offense seems to fire it out he’s needed to get his defense back right. I fully expect to see a vast improvement in the communication issues. DeMeco is one of the best defensive coaches in the league.

I've been wanting to blame Burke for the defense underachieving, but they were so good last year when he was calling plays. I like this move, because the defense is the strength of this team.
