Religion is good for people that need community and something to believe in that explains the universe and all the good/evil in life. But if you don’t need community and you can rationalize everything then religion just breaks down quickly

If God wiped out all the evil with the flood why did the evil continue after the flood. Wasn’t it a reset like the fruit eating didn’t take place, why kill everyone including new born babies if it did not remove evil.

Just walk through the Vatican Museum and when you zoom out, it looks more like Caesar needed a new way to control people when the resources to maintain the Roman army across all of Europe became too limited. Look at the artifacts, the paintings, and all the history, and you will see a political system more than a spiritual one.

My favorite paradox in the Bible is how God made humans who didn’t know the difference between Good and Evil, then told them “If you disobey me and eat the fruit, that would be evil” and acted surprised and pissy when the idiots who didn’t know what evil even was did the evil thing
