@wrestlestar_: ALL CHALLENGERS WELCOME. Sheamus is officially a free agent. Fightful Select reported in July that he turned down a restructured, lower-paid WWE extension, and his contract ran through Oct. 1. The next day, he posted on X: "all challengers welcome – s. farrelly." WrestleVotes reported on Fightful Select that "a handful of AEW talent are in favor of Sheamus joining the company." No formal talks between Sheamus and AEW have been reported. Not every report has been that positive. In July, Dave Meltzer said, "Nobody had anything against Sheamus personally. It was just sort of like, 'Here comes another one.'" His former Bar partner Claudio Castagnoli is in AEW. Asked about a possible move, he said, "I feel that's not for me to talk about. I feel that is for him to talk about when he's ready." Sheamus is a four-time world champion in WWE. His last WWE match was on Raw in November 2025, teaming with John Cena and Rey Mysterio at Madison Square Garden, and he had shoulder surgery that December.
