A tight, accurate list of people who have the problem you solve will outperform clever writing sent to the wrong people. 3. Short wins. Write like a person texting a peer. A few sentences, plain language, one clear ask. 4. Relevance over flattery. Skip the fake compliments. Show you understand their situation and why your offer fits it right now. 5. Follow up. Plenty of replies come from the second, third or fourth email.
