@brinhq: Global food prices climbed to their highest level in nearly four years in September 2026, according to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization. The FAO Food Price Index rose to 136.0 points from 134.0 in August as disruptions to trade, adverse weather and concerns over global supplies pushed several major food categories higher. Sugar prices jumped 6.1% while cereal prices increased 5.1%, with vegetable oils also moving higher. The increase adds pressure to global food affordability as households in many countries continue dealing with elevated living costs. Source: United Nations Food and Agriculture Organization
