I had a school get livid at me for not answering the phone for this when I was in the middle of teaching a two-hour class (I am a professor) in a classroom without cell reception. Meanwhile they had my husband’s phone number right there and just didn’t call him.

My kid has 6 emergency contacts... SIX. And instead they just call only me 3x while I'm at work... they also have my work number since i can't have my cell on me... they've never used it

Some of the stories in the comments are crazy. 😳 What happened to letting the kid sit in the nurses office until the parent could get there? I remember having to just nap in the office for like two hours once and the school just understood my parents were busy and would be there when they could.

This happened to me in the middle of a WIC appointment and I NEEDED that formula 😭 I straight up told her on the phone “I’m in an appointment for my baby. I can come as soon as we’re done here” and she acted like I was legitimately saying I wasn’t coming. LADY IM NOT LEAVING RN FORMULA IS $29 A CAN
