this tonedeafness is really down to the insane amounts of information pummelled at people on the internet (and thus, especially from developed countries thousands of kilometres away from Gaza, because it is these people who are less likely to consider any other form of living in modern domestication). with all of these streams of content and ideology at such a high speed, this bizarre tiktok campism develops where everything is superficial because everything is about trying to participate in this anonymous online landscape and embody its principles and obfuscations rather than about genuine sympathy with the topics it talks about. information is not really information anymore in the sense of being "informed", "aware", and so on. it's an empty knowing. people treat politics like a set of costumes you slip in and out of. maybe this predates the internet, but the masses and masses of people genuinely thinking that they are taking a morally correct position because of the superficial similarity between advancing the public consciousness and reposting videos for the algorithm really shows how the internet and its algorithms designed purely with marketing and reposting in mind have completely ballooned this into something terrifyingly inhuman. it's like you can't trust anyone to have genuine sincerity anymore, even when it comes to genocide in the most brutal, textbook sense of the word.

If Hamas made an actual operation without killing random Israelis at a concert they would probably have a lot more credibility and justification. I hate how narrow minded fellow Palestinians/arabs are when analyzing Hamas or the PLO
