@theartcoach: A dream come true. Standing in front of one of the world’s great masterpieces, Michelangelo’s David. David’s eyes are fixed on Goliath. The battle hasn’t begun. His body is still, but his mind is already stepping forward into the man the moment demands. That’s what Michelangelo captured in the marble. Not victory, but the moment before it. The decision to willingly confront something greater than yourself. In that moment, the question becomes whether we retreat into who we are, or step forward toward who we could become. David stands there as if to say, “I have it in me to be the one who takes this on.” Standing before him, the same question turns back on you. What is the Goliath in your life? Will you stand before it willingly? Will you become the person capable of facing it? Will you be the hero?
