@scrippsnews: Israelis gathered Wednesday in Kfar Aza to commemorate the October 7, 2023, Hamas-led attack on the kibbutz which sparked the devastating war in Gaza. Families mourned and lit candles to pay tribute to those killed after militants overran the community, within sight of the border fence surrounding Gaza, three years ago in the deadliest attack in the country's history. Militants killed some 1,200 people in their attack on southern Israel and took 251 people hostage. Wednesday marked the first anniversary since all the hostages, living and dead, were released, marking a new stage of grief. (AP video)
