Without any regret I spent over 2 years helping my ex put the pieces back together of her traumas and toxic past. Was there in ways that all dream about. Believed in her when she didn’t herself. My unconditional loving actions and words finally built strength enough for her to say goodbye. “I was only with you because you were a good man, I didn’t really like you, I struggled to kiss and be intimate with you. I finally found the courage to walk.” Damage as such can never be repaired, forgotten nor forgiven. It broke me in pieces that can never be put back together in the same way again. I waited almost a lifetime to find whom I thought was the one in my dreams with eyes open. We were engaged had plans of a family. You have no idea how devastating this is to a kind caring man who put and gave all thinking the outcome would be us living the life we always talked about.

There is no such thing as being completely “ready” for a relationship. Love is a choice to be with someone while understanding that you both carry your own struggles, wounds, and things you’re still learning to heal from. Its about two people who are willing to grow, heal, and move forward together. Because a healthy relationship isn’t built by two perfect people who have nothing left to work on. It’s built by two imperfect people who acknowledge their flaws, and consciously choose each other through the process. You don’t have to be perfectly healed to love someone, but you do have to be willing to grow.

The fact that socials implicates people can only heal when your on your own, to some degree that’s true when it’s not necessarily true. But some discernment would be a good idea. when it’s comes to relationships you can be in 1 & heal healthy, good, safe, unconditional love relationship. If only they stopped being so scared of loosing their freedom in a relationship. They just never had the right 1! It’s time for the bs to stop now. The thing is, those of us that understand it, have been there, that’s the funny part. Myself has been so scared of having a relationship at the thought of being in 1 and losing my freedom and losing myself. I learnt that it’s a need of mine that’ll need to be met & not many want a woman who wants this because they don’t understand it, but for those of us who do, you can still be commited and not loose yourself. Guess what…. It’s called communicating your needs.
