I’ve never understood capital punishment. Especially after learning of the David Milgaard case that took place in Saskatoon. I was in grade 6 or 7-1997. Milgaard spent 22 years in prison for a crime he didn’t commit. DNA finally exonerated him 27 years later. How many innocent people have been placed on 💀 row? Ironically, The DNA evidence that cleared Milgaard's name was later used in ‘99 to convict the actual killer, a serial offender named Larry Fisher. If we still had Capital Punishment, David Milgaard may never found justice

Thank you!!! I’m in Illinois where there is no death penalty now, thank goodness! I have always been against the death penalty. It’s inhumane! Also, EVERYONE dies at some point in their life. It is guaranteed!!! The death penalty takes the prisoner out of their misery. Having to survive in prison is its own hell & punishment!

I absolutely agree. I think it's wildly bold for us to give our dishonest government the right to 💀 our citizens. If you okay it for one, you okay it for all. It's also asking healthcare workers to violate their oath. Just bat shit.

This is an area I always felt conflicted on. On the one hand there are truly some horrible people who deserve to go (think Epstein, Bundy, Dahmer). On the other hand, so long as it’s humans making decisions there is a strong possibility of innocent people being convicted. I’m sure it’s happened before. So let’s not as corruption exists we can’t lose our morals.

When I was a child “Roots” was aired on TV. My parents deemed me to young to watch. I had to walk past the TV one evening. The scene playing at that moment was when they caught the main character after he escaped. They chopped off his toes with a hachet. I still get sick to my stomach thinking about humans doing that to another human. Violence is so baked into American culture I’m not sure it will ever be exhausted.
