After the black album, they suck. Just my opinion, but I grew up on kill em all ride the lightning master of puppets and garage days and justice for all. The black album was decent. After that, the rest was shit. Sorry, not sorry maybe you younger generations like the new stuff but I think it’s terrible

I am actually so proud of how far they made it. I'm an old man now but I was in the moment when a small niche group of kids knew who they were. they weren't on the radio or TV, there was no Internet. they built their empire through tape trading and word of mouth. skateboarders, misfits teens, burnouts, nerds and introverts all connected with this band. it was like a little secret we all knew about that was kinda magical in a way. wearing metal shirts at that time in public signified to the people outside of our world ment these kids are troubled. you were looked down apon as a less than going nowhere. Now! right fucking now! 2026, this band is the fucking biggest metal band in the fucking world. I'm glad they evolved and took chances because isn't that what life's all about? 🤘

I’ve never gotten the whole underground mentality of keeping bands hidden and tucked away. Don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing like the energy of a local metal band melting faces in a small venue but I miss the days when rock and metal ruled the world and I’ve always been under the impression a large part of making a band and playing shows and touring so much was to “make it”. If I was talented and driven as the guys in Metallica I’d be devastated if I never escaped the local scene

Love Metallica. We went to see them in July. Not like it was 30 years ago. But they are troopers, still playing the same songs and rocking out huge venues. We loved it.

I came to know Metallica after the big uproar over them making a music video for One and I couldn't understand the fuss, but now with the whole LV Sphere thing, I think I know how those old die hard fans felt over the music video.
