Yep. At 8 yrs old I had to stand and wash huge piles of dishes while my friends were out playing after school and weekends. I swore my mom and her boyfriend used every single dish, cup and spoon just so I'd have to do it. When I had kids they never washed a dish unless they wanted to.

I am one of those children who's 25 now and even tho I cleaned for a company for work at one point that definitely helped but I still can't keep it clean no matter how hard I try it's frustrating

I hated dusting and dishes as a kid. Dishes are still one of my least favorite tasks. 😅

My sisters and I have been cleaning since we were 7 years old. My Mom showed us what she wanted done and said if you do this every week, I will be proud of you. We cleaned the whole house top to bottom, all 3000 sq feet, every week. My mother has not cleaned her house in 40 years, we still do it. My mother wasn't and is not a cleaner, but us three girls cannot stand a dirty house and our houses are clean. Our house was bad/dirty when we were kids until we learned to clean. We would even spend our allowances on cleaning products, my favorite was mop and glo and pine sol when I was young (10 years old). The floors were so sparkly and shiny my Dads friends would comment how shiny they were. We have always been cleaning nerds and I dont understand the people who aren't just like they don't understand me.
