I’m still of the belief that Mephisto is secretly behind everything (If not, most of). He’s the one who made 2099 Doom have the dreams of his mother, maybe caused modern Doom to further research Chronovium which then led to both of them causing the T.E. By the end of this storyline, I don’t think it’ll be Cynthia they’ll end up freeing, but Mephisto himself
