Are we forgetting something? Pilatus did not really want to kill Jesus.. He even tried to negotiate with the jews and the jews (that actually wanted Jeus dead and LOBBYD FOR IT).. But the jews wanted Jesus dead so bad that they rather had a beast of a criminal released amongst themselves rather than have Jesus freed!!
