Apple is slaughtering NVIDIA on their own turf is my read. They will give you 256gb unified for ~10k, chainable. M5U 512 is going to be even stronger value. Both have competitive bandwidth for inference

Expect Mac to get crushed in this space. This isn’t the end game, it’s only the beginning. You neglected to mention more than just the hardware, it’s the managed agentic ecosystem that has full enterprise security, identity, and management. MacOS and Linux just don’t have it.

The laptop I could get behind and a mild user for Linux and windows flexibility. But why the hell woukd you off the Dev box that essentially the same price as the DGX and you CANT chain them together?

I'm guessing the dev box is just a way to use chips that had defects in the pcie controller, and thusly couldn't have had the networking controller installed that regular Spark can. I don't see much other reason to make them otherwise.
