@thereelspotbobbyfoster: Ted Lasso S4E10 (Finale) Review: Was this episode perfect? No. Was it beautiful? Yes. And that’s what the show is trying to tell us. #tedlasso #tedlassoseason4 #tedlassoseason4episode10 #tedlassoseason4finale #tedlassoappletv @Apple TV
I really enjoyed the finale, and this entire season. I feel like so many people wanted to hate this season just because it was about women and not a men’s team.

I loved Alice’s contribution in the Diamond Dogs/Cat People meeting for Roy. Perfection.

I haven’t seen anyone talk about the fact that Paul, Baz, and Jeremey actually went to a game. In the first three seasons, they only ever watched at the Pub. They went to see the practices live, but this was the first time they’re ever shown at the stadium for a game.

I think “life is messy” is a cop-out when looking at S4 as a whole. What made Ted Lasso remarkable was taking a male-dominated sport and giving men space for vulnerability, emotional depth, and growth beyond the field. The women deserved that same complexity, celebrating their athleticism and strength beyond the sport. Instead, we got surface-level conflicts and caricatures of women’s struggles. I question whether the writers know how to tell those stories. Even in the original 3 seasons, Rebecca’s experiences with sexism often required men to step in. The original show found hope through genuine hardship and personal growth. S4 lost that heart. I hope they get a fifth season to give these women the depth they deserve. Otherwise, as much as it breaks my heart, perhaps they should have stopped at season 3.

My only disappointment was I actually wanted to hear how Ted explained his dad’s death to Henry

Loved all of it. I SWEAR someone was paying all season for the internet to be FILLED with bad reviews. Fans loved it and there are millions of us. Did we love every single part, maybe not, but I love the show.

I was confused about Ted talking to Rebecca about the coaching situation. I thought he was gonna move to the men’s team. But at the end it showed him as assistant manager.

Counterpoint. It wasn’t structurally messy. It laid the groundwork for the series moving forward. If you paid attention it wasn’t hard to keep up at all. Put your phones down folks.

I have been waiting to see Sassy’s silly Rebecca. The shareholders meeting played into silly Rebecca like no other scene has to this point. It felt off because that’s what our boss ass bitch wanted it to be.

hated the stupid Zelda villain arc. it's canon that Rebecca held 51% majority ownership when opening the 49% to the public. so the math never worked but Mae's send off was beautiful ❤️

Honestly, we Mae dad I was just kind of hopeless and then this episode came out and I’m so hopeful for next season. I cannot wait.

I love Ted Lasso but some of the plot points of this season felt rushed. Everything with Zelda’s villain arc for example. Maybe they don’t know if there will be more seasons but just imagine if the finale of this season has Zelda revealing everything as she did but her and Rebecca having that 49/49 split with Mae’s shares locked in probate or something for some time and the battle for those shares in the following season.

I thought it was a good end with some good tangents. Maybe Zelda could be the new Jamie. Ted's son gets some interesting drama. Coach Grows and learns.

This episode felt like three episodes crammed into one. A Lizzie focused episode about the last game of the season. An episode about Mae’s funeral and Ted opening up to Henry about how his Dad died. And a plot focused episode about the future of the club, Rebecca beating Zelda, Roy leaving and Alice getting the head coach role. Only the Mae funeral part and Ted opening up to Henry really felt like a complete 30 minute episode. All the other plotlines felt like we got maybe like 50% of the episode we were originally supposed to get about them.
