she was ruined by studio Pierrot which made the anime adaptation. They butchered her character. Some of replic were given to other characters, she was turned into a crybaby and damsel in distress. Meanwhile in the manga she waa more developed and her mental breakdown was shown much better. Anime censored lots of her past and comolecompletly remade her character into something else. Because of this anime version of Orihime Kubo received tons of deth treats unless he dispose of her and made Ichigo and Rukia canonical ship. Only because of how 1 anime studio remade anime into their own

Exactly I didn’t understand why people are getting mad at her for having genuine , real raw human emotions. I find it so funny people always hate on the anime character that has the most human and realistic reactions to things, had these haters been in same positions as Orihime, they would have acted the same. Her strength honestly underrated the way she went through the most horrific things, that would have broken anyone yet still choose smile, be kind, this itself is not an easy thing to and takes a lot of resolve and strength to do so, a person really has to be mentally resilient in order to do that. Shipping her with uilquora has to be criminal considering he kidnapped her and full on abused her psychologically, and tormented the people she loves, why would orihime settle with someone like that? People who ship those two are larping and lack any critical thinking skills.

one of the biggest reasons I love bleach is because its refreshing(TO ME) to have a female character, like Orohime, not constantly crying to be saved, moreso people want to save and protect her out of instinct. Her past in a obvious trigger and this but I genuinely find it cool that she has the power she has, uses it to the best of her ability and still tries to avoid screaming to be saved. she one of my goats for real
