But it will still snag depending on how you pull it. MagSafe won’t because it’s so low profile. So this design is just a copy for the sake of copying. There’s no benefit to quick insertion only removal so this is a gimmick

The point of USC is that it’s universal. However, this USB can only plug into the laptop so there’s no benefit of it being USB C. It might as well just be MagSafe like apples since it’s only able to charge the laptop and not anything else.

How is Microsoft combatting arcing here? This port is inherently loose and the connection violent. How does this port interact with other USB-C cables that aren’t magnetic? MagSafe is much more elegant. It’s literally just pogo pins.
