@nateloans: Little homebuyer tip most people don’t know about 👇 With some conventional loans, you may be able to waive homeowners insurance from escrow and pay it yourself instead. That can slightly lower your monthly mortgage payment, reduce the amount collected at closing, and give you more control when your insurance premium changes each year. Not the right move for everyone, but definitely something worth asking your lender about. . . . #HomeBuyingTips #MortgageTips #FirstTimeHomeBuyer
Why dont you recommend waiving escrow entirely? If I’m responsible with money I can simply pay my HOA/Insurance/Taxes all once instead of being chased monthly for an extra 1-1.5K?

Hi, if I don’t want to include it in the closing costs. When should I start to shop around? On closing day or after closing day. Thanks

So when you pay the insurance as a prepaid it automatically stays inside your mortgage payment? Not just a one time prepaid??

You’re clearly not in tune with California. Insurance is one of the largest components often disqualifying a buyer from being able to qualify for a loan.
