I brought the button-down from the shop so we could try it in her closet, with the clothes she actually wears. The shirt was reading boxy, so we made it feel more feminine: sleeves cuffed, front tucked, collar pulled open. Then we built two outfits from pieces she already owns. Heels and a purse for one. Boots and a hat for the other. This is what working together looks like. Not a new wardrobe.
