chasing more is never good, we are just chasing primal instincts, an average person today would be a king 100 years ago, we see value in comparing ourselves with others, the richest person today will seem to have a terrible life in another 100 years

I think “trying to improve on certain areas of your life like always” and “always dreaming big” are 2 different concepts. The former being a part of evolution I guess and the latter is just a concept of “capitalism”. Let’s be honest, “thinking big” basically means do something that makes you a lot of money.

The finer things in life often come with bigger, more stressful responsibilities. the idea that you must want that or you’re “settling” isn’t true. Some people genuinely prefer an average job and salary with more time for family, hobbies, and a regulated nervous system over a high-paying, high-stress job. I’ve seen some people have it all and quit cuz it didn’t make them happy
