@the_arielb: POV: Your soldier has been gone for 90 days… and your family has decided his tap-out requires a FULL DRESS REHEARSAL. 😭😂🇺🇸 We made it to South Carolina!!! After hours on the road, dancing in the car, counting down the miles and realizing this moment we’ve talked about for MONTHS was finally here… we pulled into Fort Jackson with one mission: DO. NOT. MESS. UP. ANDRE’S. TAP. OUT. 😂 Because apparently simply walking onto the field, finding your soldier and tapping him on the shoulder was just not dramatic enough for this family. Oh no. We needed formations. Assignments. Timing. A game plan. Several rehearsals. But underneath all the foolishness, this moment means so much more than a tap on the shoulder. In less than 12 hours, we’ll walk onto that field looking for someone we haven’t hugged in almost 90 days. We’ll tap out the son, brother and grandson we sent away to Basic Training… and hug a United States Army Soldier. 🇺🇸🥹 The same Andre we’ve been missing is coming back to us, but changed. Stronger. More disciplined. More independent. Having experienced something none of us standing on that field with him can fully understand.
