the false sky that phanes use and the dragons use are vastly different tho, its not even fair to compare it, the dragon version only acts like a camoflauge while the false sky of phanes also works as a huge barrier to prevent the abyss(A literal universal ending threat) from consuming the world.

How does this plan make phanes bad? The dragons made the technology that hides Teyvat from the universe while the barrier of the souls protects the planet from the abyss cuz the firmament is made of several layers not only one and we dont even know if the souls in the barrier reject this thing or not nicole knows about the plan yet she wanted a vision so it means its not a bad thing

I think It’s not fair to downplay phanes intelligence, while they weren’t the creators of the project moonveil they essentially were able to reverse engineer the project thanks to the notes they stole and make a their own version which proves their understanding of that technology.

Im not a glazer of HP but yes the dragon did make the concealment technology that HP uses to cover teyvat. But the dragons couldn't make it in large scale like how HP is doing now. While the dragons are extremely smart they still have their shortcomings. All I'm saying is both sides are impressive, you don't need to discredit others to make a point.

I honestly believe the false sky holds a second purpose besides hiding Teyvat, like you said the dragons could do it without sacrificing innocent lives yet I feel like Phanes did this to have more of a hold onto fate, think about it we already know constellations are used by people like Barbeloth or Mona to determine one’s fate, this might have been the secret Lisa discovered that horrified her back in her Vision Story, more and more main story comes out is already showing how the “love” Phanes has for humanity is beyond twisted and who to say how much more lies exist now

It's less about the barrier but more about the fake stars, at least I think so. Stellar Fortuna are an actual thing and it would make sense that Vision holders are used to continue enforcing the system of fate.
