If Hurts was making $20 mill (which is about his right value) and the Eagles could put the extra $30 mill saved on rebuilding the OL and getting a legit #1 WR, the Eagles would be fine. NFL teams have normalized overpaying average QBs though. Good teams win on their QBs rookie contract, get a steal on a serviceable vet, or have a tier 1 QB. Caleb Williams for $9 mill or Hurts for $50 mill? No brainer…Eagles need to move on from Hurts.
