@ernestkruah: Replying to @Buli Donga LaMavuso 🇿🇦🕯 Chemical integrating indicators only work if they're in the right spot. Place the internal CI where steam has the hardest time reaching, not just on top of the tray. In rigid containers, that often means opposite corners, and one on each level of multi-level sets. Always follow the container manufacturer's IFU and AAMI ST79. Why it matters: when the end user opens the set in the OR, that CI is their proof that steam actually got inside. Wrong placement means a false sense of safety. Get it right. Every tray. Every time. #HowToBecomeASterileProcessingTechnician #SterileProcessing #InfectionPrevention #CentralSterile
It matters on the tray. On wrapped trays every level in the middle to challenge the steam the most. Now with containerized trays it comes down to the filters. If it’s one filter in the middle you put the indicators on opposite sides like you did in the video. If it’s a double filter container you want it in the middle. You want it to be in the spot where it is the hardest for the steam to penetrate.

That’s actually not the correct location for wrapped trays if you look at the IFU
