@artvangarde: Artist and tattooist Elena Luchsheva works across tattooing, painting and ceramics, transferring the visual language of tattoo culture onto porcelain objects. Her practice is shaped by melancholy, nostalgia and memories of growing up in post-Soviet countries. (Artvangarde). Her ceramics combine familiar forms ,vases, goblets, plates and anatomical shapes ,with tattoo-like drawings, decals and sharp metallic elements. Some pieces use platinum-coated spikes, with the decoration fired at around 800°C to become part of the ceramic surface. #art #artist #avantgarde #design #niche
