@hustlersnthehood: Ron Darden used to walk into FK Your Diet in Fort Myers twice a month yelling "It's payday!" and order his biscuits and gravy. Then he stopped coming. When he finally walked back in, he wasn't there to eat. He had lost his job, he was about to be evicted, and he had two teenage daughters still in school. He asked the owner, Doug Miller, for work. Doug got him a hotel room and gave him every hour he had. Clearing tables, washing trucks, delivering catering, moving refrigerators. For 10 months each check paid for another week in that room. Ron slept on the floor so the girls could have the beds. Doug knew that feeling. He went through 15 foster homes, and at 18 his whole house was a $100 Honda. Today Ron works there full time, with a house and a car of his own. "Bills are piling up, and my girls now got a place," Ron said. #HustlersNTheHood
