@lipsinging_jaron.lyle: I’ve learned that you can love someone and still let them go. You can genuinely hope they win. Pray they find happiness. Be grateful they existed in your story—and still understand they aren’t supposed to be part of your next chapter. Because eventually, you have to stop being in love with someone who doesn’t love you back. Not out of anger. Not because they’re a bad person. But because you have to love yourself enough to stop begging someone to see your worth. You cannot convince someone to choose you. You cannot negotiate attraction. You cannot explain your value until someone finally recognizes it. And their inability to see it doesn’t make you less valuable. It simply means you’re not for them. And that’s okay. I’ve spent the last 18 months tirelessly rebuilding myself. Becoming someone I’m proud of. Becoming free from drugs and alcohol. Building my career. Protecting my peace. Finding purpose. And most importantly, falling back in love with Jesus. So if something doesn’t align with where I’m going, encourage who I’m becoming, or bring peace into the life I’ve fought so hard to rebuild—I have to be willing to release it. That doesn’t erase gratitude. I’ll forever be grateful for her. Her love became an ember. Our relationship became a catalyst. Losing what we had forced me to look at myself, and eventually I chose to turn that pain into change. She may have been part of the spark. But I had to choose to become the fire. And maybe that’s one of the greatest purposes relationships can serve. Not everyone who changes your life is meant to stay in it forever. Some people teach you. Some people awaken you. Some people show you what needs healing. Some people become part of the reason you finally change. Thank them. Love them. Hope the absolute best for them. Then, when the season is over, have enough faith to release them. Because once you’ve learned the lesson… you don’t have to keep holding onto the teacher. #lettinggo #movingforward #grateful
