@bristexastails: I’ve always had this dream of traveling to different cities just to visit animal shelters and share the stories of dogs in need. Will it ever happen? Probably not, but a girl can dream! 🤭 Every now and then I love getting out and exploring other shelters around Houston. Every shelter operates so differently and there’s always something new to learn. Plus I get to meet some new faces and hopefully help a few pups along the way! yeahhhhh that shelter is so freaking nice though. I still go to the rural shelter here but I do leave depressed bc the shelter is....AWFUL. and theres dogs there since first of year. like....the shelter is just dogs existing. no volunteers. no outside time. nothing.

I’m a volunteer at my local shelter and yes, I do cry after some shifts because the dogs I take care of deserve better than shelter life but if I didn’t do it, then who? I can love on them and make give my time to make their lives better even if it means I get emotional. I’d rather that than act like they dont exist 💙
