Could it be a form of dermatitis? Did you switch any detergents or sprays? Makeup brushes? New pillows / sheets?

Hey girl, this happens to me when my barrier is compromised! I know it’s tempting to use a lot of actives on it right now but this is what I do when I get a flare: oil cleanser, a simple cleanser, hydrating toner and moisturizer. Once it clears up and barrier feels better, then I incorporate actives slowly back into my routine! Zinc sunscreen or diaper cream as a spot treatment can help calm the red inflamed blemishes. I know how frustrating it is, try not to let it take your energy! you’re beautiful 🤍

Stop everything. Especially any actives. Use Vanicream, La Roshe posay, cerave (bland bland bland) face wash and moisturizer only. Get rid of fake nails/gel/etc. Get hormone levels checked - possibly need spironolactone for a month or two. Clearstem also has pills for this. See a dermatologist.

This happened to me last year!! I (unfortunately) went on spironolactone. I believe I was near mold!? The spiro messed up my cycle however my skin became like glass and the puffiness went away!!!! I went off of it about a year after starting and my skin looks great, I still get some bad breakouts but i also stuck to a very simple and clean routine and got monthly/biweekly facials for acne! I’m also not/never was on birth control but I know doctors advise to be on it- I just never wanted to take that many medications!

im 27 and struggled with perioral dermatitis for the first time this year after having clear skin forever and before visiting the derm and getting prescribed metronidazole, I found that switching completely to non scented laundry detergent and facial products helped tremendously. I also took a break from exfoliating and only used vanicream face wash (it’s the most gentle derm approved face wash) Another thing, I started drinking spearmint tea at night and taking zinc. I really hope this helps, it will get better and you’re always beautiful!

I’m so sorry. You’re still so beautiful! I hope you find the right solution for you. I wish I could offer advice but I too am going through an acne journey at the minute and I think it takes more patience than I could ever dream of having

I’m sure you’re getting tons of advice but with your struggle with cortisol/stress earlier definitely look into your gut health or digestion and even hormones. Skin usually reflects a deeper issue occurring internally. I had mold illness which wrecked my gut and hormones and it made me have acne despite any topical treatments I tried.

Could this be dermatitis? Looks super similar to a rash I had which was caused by gel polish

Same thing happened to me earlier this year! I’m on spironolactone, lowest dose & my derm completely changed my skincare routine. Highly recommend Prequel Sulfur Cleanser!

Paula’s choice BHA exfoliation, glow recipe dew drops and a balancing spray to top it off/ after work outs. Some conditioners gives me really bad acne!! I always thought it was my hormones until I stopped using conditioner. Have yet to find one that won’t break me out🙃

Also struggling with this in my 20s and never have before! So frustrating and so hard on mental health. I also do my best to live a clean lifestyle and can’t figure out where it is coming from! One thing that seems to help a little - melagel topical cream on bad breakouts and scarring, from Amazon

http://cosdna.com 👈🏻 I use this link and search EVERY product before I put it on my face. It saved my skin. It gives you every ingredient and shows you what is most likely to cause a breakout or irritation! Honestly I don’t use any products that have a “pimple” on the chart at all. It’s time consuming but IT WORKS!!! A huge one to avoid is dimethicone. I hope this helps! 🫶🏻

This happened to me post birth control. It was horrible, I was so depressed, didn’t want to leave my house. My hormones were all raging since they had been shut off for for so long (13 years on bc pill). I promise it gets better with time. Keep your routine simple, eat well, workout and try to stay positive!! I promise it gets better ❤️‍🩹
